The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier 1 examination is planned for from August 5 to August 24 this year admit cards for which have already been released.

Candidates who have applied for the SSC CGL 2017 can download their admit cards at ssc.nic.in. The exam will have 25 questions each on general intelligence, reasoning, general awareness, quantitative aptitude and English comprehension. No exam will be held on August 7, 13, 14 and 15.

The process of downloading the SSC CGL admit card 2017 is very simple and straightforward. First you logon to the official regional website of the SSC, then on top of the page you will find the option of “Admit Card”. Click on that and a new pop-up window will open. Clikc on the regional link of your respective SSC region.

Once the regional site is open, click on the notification displaying “Click here to download your SSC CGL admit card”. You will be taken to a new page where you will have to enter your details such as roll number or registration number etc., as required. Click on “Submit” after entering your details and you will be able to download the admit card and take a print out.

The commission has also released a notice regarding the prohibited items on the day of the exam. These include:
– Reading materials (like magazines and books)
– Electronic gadgets (like mobile phones, cameras and Bluetooth devices)

“Such candidates would not be allowed to take the examination apart from being debarred in all future examinations without prejudice to other disciplinary and criminal proceedings by the commission,” the SSC notice said, adding that the commission, center supervisor (principal) and any other person conducting the examination will not be held responsible if such items get lost at the exam venue.

With just a week left for the SSC CGL examination, we suggest candidates practice online mock tests as will help in calculating their speed. Analyse the mock tests that you try and check your scores in the different subjects/topics. Prepare a strategy to score well according to your analysis.
